Congratulations to the 2019 LRIG-New England Teacher Grant Winners

We would like to announce the winners of our 2019 LRIG-New England Teacher Grant.  We received a number of excellent proposals this year and each of the winning proposals will receive the amount of $2000 to fund their projects.  We would like to thank the LRIG membership for their assistance in getting the word out to local STEM based teachers and look forward to your continued support when we begin accepting applicants for our 2020 program.

Nashoba Valley Technical High School
Automated Programmable Aquaponics
– Incorporate programming into sustainable living through an Internet of Things fish tank vegetable garden

Hopedale Junior Senior High School
Print Around the School in 180 Days
– Learning programming and design skill to create 3D objects with practical applications

Winthrop High School
Robotics Unit in STEAM High School Elective
– Integration of robotics into an existing Science & Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics curriculum

Italian Home for Children
Wonder Workshop
– Introduction to robot programming with systems of increasing challenge

Hopedale Junior Senior High School
Using a Spectrophotometer to Increase Inquiry Based Learning
– Incorporate instrument into the curriculum of 8 Science courses
